Stepantsminda (Kazbek)

Zhinvali reservoir
This is a mountain reservoir with water, unusually turquoise in color, near the village of Zhinvali. The Georgian Military Road runs along the Aragvi River and goes to the reservoir, to the Zhinvali HPP, a high-altitude dam, 415 meters long and 102 meters high.
Ananuri Fortress
Ananuri castle is an ancient fortification built during the Late Feudal era of Georgia. The fortress is located on the bank of the Zhinvali reservoir, on which there is a stunning view from Ananuri side.
Pasanauri
Two rivers, the White and the Black Aragvi, flow along the Georgian Military Road near the village of Pasanauri. Their waters never mix with each other.
Arch of Friendship
The arch was built in the times of the USSR - in 1983. Its construction was timed to the bicentennial of the Giorgievsk Tractate, which symbolized the friendship of the Georgian and Russian peoples. Stepantsminda
Stepantsminda is a town in Georgia. From 1921 to 2007, it was called "Kazbegi". The history of the modern name is associated with the monk Stepan. He is known for once warning residents of an avalanche and thus saved them. The settlement was moved to a safe place and was named after Stepan. Stepantsminda is located in the Terek River basin at the foot of the Kazbek mountain!
Gergeti monastery
